PVC Foam Tapes

1300 Series

ReedSeal 1300 foam tapes are flexible, low density, closed cell vinyl foam products. Automotive OEM approved, these foam tapes are designed for applications requiring positive seals on irregular surfaces or when flex and conformability to seal tight radius curves are critical considerations.

Features

· Light density foam is easy to compress and conformable, yet strong and resilient.
· Can be produced with acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive and a tough polyester surface cover.
· Has good low temperature flexibility and outstanding weather resistance.
· Meets automotive specifications GM-FBMS 610-1A, Ford ESB M3G102-A, and Daimler/Chrysler MSAY 511-A, B and C.

1400 Series

ReedSeal 1400 series foam tapes are slightly denser version of our 1300 series foam tapes. They are used in applications requiring greater tensile strength and force to compress properties.

1700 Series

ReedSeal 1700 series foam tapes are medium density, closed-cell vinyl products. These tapes provide an excellent combination of flexibility and conformability with strength and wear resistance. They perform well in those “tough duty” applications where a tape must still flex to fit and seal.

· Excellent dimensional stability and cushion against heavier loads
· Durable, acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesive on one or two sides
· Permits clean die cuts and faster penetration
· Excellent resistance to wear and abrasion

5100A Series

General purpose foam tapes used for sealing and spacing such as in structural glazing. 5100A has been tested and is compatible with silicone caulk.

5200A SCS Series

Similar to the 5100A series except that it has a lower force to compress rating. 5100A has been tested and is compatible with silicone caulk. Ideal for “factory glazed” units.

Pipe Wrap Tape

Reedseal® Pipe Wrap (RPW) is a flexible, low density closed cell foam furnished with skin on one side and a special stretch resistant adhesive on the opposite. It is typically used where standard pipe insulation does not work as in insulating ductwork, large piping, and fittings.

RPW is resistant to flames, condensation, oil, and grease. It meets all the critical ASTM specifications and is available in rolls, sheets, or tape form. Starting in 2002, RPW utilizes a new pressure sensitive adhesive to improve bonding and reduce stretching.

· Resistant to water vapor
· Good low temperature flexibility
· Will not contribute significantly to fire (ASTM-E 84)
· Adhesive includes synthetic scrim to resist stretching
· Excellent adhesion to curved surfaces

Available in thicknesses from .063” to 1” and widths to 56”.

EPDM/SBR Foam Tapes

Reedseal® QR426 is a flexible, low to medium density, closed cell Neoprene/EPT/SBR foam. It is formulated to resist weather, oil, and grease. The unique sponge rubber blend combines a low plasticizer migration with low temperature flexibility and excellent insulation properties.

· Die cuts easily
· Available with acrylic adhesive on one or both sides

Available in thicknesses from .063” to 2.50” and widths to 42”

EPDM Foam Tapes

Reedseal® QE41 series is a flexible, medium density, low modulus, closed cell EPDM foam product. It offers a very broad service temperature range and excellent resistance to ozone, ultraviolet light, and other weathering conditions.

· Good low temperature flexibility
· Outstanding weather resistance

· Available with pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive
